CIEAF Accreditation Standards define the quality requirements that institutions must meet to obtain and maintain accredited status. These standards ensure consistency, credibility, and excellence across the global CIEAF network.

Governance & Institutional Integrity

Institutions must demonstrate:

  • Clear governance structure with defined roles and responsibilities
  • Competent leadership with appropriate authority and accountability
  • Documented policies and procedures for all core operations
  • Ethical and transparent operations with no conflicts of interest
  • Effective decision‑making systems with clear communication channels

Evidence required: Organizational chart, policy manual, board meeting minutes

Trainer & Faculty Qualifications

Institutions must ensure:

  • Trainers possess relevant academic or professional qualifications
  • Trainers have demonstrable experience in their subject areas
  • Continuous professional development is documented for all trainers
  • Trainer performance is evaluated regularly using standardized criteria
  • Trainer-to-learner ratios are appropriate for course delivery

Evidence required: Trainer CVs, qualification certificates, CPD records, evaluation forms

Delivery Quality

Institutions must show:

  • Structured instructional design with clear learning objectives
  • Effective teaching methodologies appropriate for learner needs
  • Learner engagement strategies that promote participation and retention
  • Adequate learning resources including materials, technology, and facilities
  • Safe and conducive learning environments for all participants

Evidence required: Course outlines, lesson plans, learner feedback, facility inspection

Assessment Integrity

Institutions must maintain:

  • Valid and reliable assessments that measure stated learning outcomes
  • Secure assessment administration to prevent cheating and fraud
  • Transparent grading procedures with clear criteria and standards
  • Documented moderation and verification processes for quality control
  • Protection against academic dishonesty through clear policies

Evidence required: Assessment samples, grading rubrics, moderation reports, integrity policy

Institutional Capacity

Institutions must demonstrate:

  • Adequate facilities and infrastructure to support training delivery
  • Digital learning capability (where applicable) with appropriate technology
  • Administrative capacity to manage enrollment, records, and reporting
  • Financial stability with sustainable funding and budgeting processes
  • Sufficient staffing to support planned training activities

Evidence required: Facility list, financial statements, staffing plan, technology inventory

Quality Assurance Systems

Institutions must operate:

  • Continuous monitoring and evaluation systems for all programs
  • Learner feedback mechanisms to capture satisfaction and improvement needs
  • Internal audit processes to verify compliance with standards
  • Improvement action plans based on evaluation findings
  • Documented quality assurance reports for management review

Curriculum Alignment (Post‑Accreditation)

Once accredited, institutions must:

  • Adopt the CIEAF curriculum structure for licensed programs
  • Use CIEAF‑aligned documentation including course outlines and session plans
  • Maintain version control for all curriculum materials
  • Implement CIEAF assessment models and evaluation frameworks
  • Comply with curriculum updates within specified timelines

Important: Non-compliance with curriculum alignment results in suspension of licensing rights.

Annual Renewal Requirements

Institutions must:

  • Submit annual compliance documentation by the specified deadline
  • Pass the annual quality review conducted by CIEAF
  • Pay all renewal and curriculum compliance fees in full
  • Maintain curriculum alignment with current CIEAF standards
  • Demonstrate continuous improvement through documented evidence

⚠️ Failure to meet renewal requirements results in suspension or loss of accreditation.
